Gala, Girl!

Nothing says upscale, elegant and fun like a gala for a major arts organization! This is definitely an opportunity to exude and be in the presence of opulence and opportunity. If you’re a networker, socialite, arts patron, someone who loves to throw on their best for a great cause or all of the above - galas should definitely be on your to-do list.

Oh, This Night Was Everything!

A great concert at the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra is the norm. But it’s something about the night of the Gala that makes it more enticing. Maybe it’s the heading upstairs for the dinner or seeing everyone so regal or the beautiful decorations- nevertheless all of those things make a great recipe for an enjoyable evening.

This particular night, I went by myself, put on my most expensive perfume, naturally engaged with people (I didn’t pressure myself to be social only present- that worked out really well), danced, laughed, ate good food, had a ball at the desert table and enjoyed wine the entire time!

One of my favorite things about Cincinnati’s historic Music Hall is this baby right here- the chandelier! I remember staring up at her as a child on field trips in total amazement. It’s big, but when you’re small- big looks gigantic. I remembering feeling like it it would swoop down any second and take me on a magical ride.

This is how you can create this experience for yourself:

  1. Get connected to your local arts organizations- go to openings, premiers, and/or the regular exhibitions or season concerts

  2. Volunteer your time or give monetary gifts as you see fit

  3. Get on their email lists

  4. Go to the galas!

It doesn‘t have to be a night at the CSO - but THIS is the kind of evening that I wish for you!
